The Important Of Medical Uniforms

Nurses in charge do not wear special uniform. They use discount nursing uniforms. Similarly, the current practice of nursing students there (same thing happens with other health workers, such as psychiatrists, doctors, nutritionists, medical students). According to them, the fundamental reason of the use of ‘street clothes’ and is to reduce the gap between officers and patient’s health. This is important because patients generally bears the stigma of great mental illness.

Different from those people surround who are considered ‘normal’, such as nurses, doctors, : even visitors. A logical reason! Considering the problem of mental illness stigma is a major issue faced by patients. Predicate as a sufferer of mental illness is seen as bad people, so limit them in performing daily life. Thus, the policy of eliminating the special uniforms for nurses in the ward showed that there are serious efforts to reduce the stigma associated closely in individuals with mental disorders.
