Know about Marketing Mix
Marketing mix is the four components in the marketing which are consist of 4P:
• Product
• Price
• Place (a place, including distribution)
• Promotion (campaign)
Because marketing is not an exact science such as finance, marketing mix theory also continues to grow. On its process, also known a term of 7P where the next 3P are People, Physical Evidence, Process. Seth Godin, an author, for example, also offers a new P theory that is Purple Coy.
Marketing is seen more like art than science, then a marketing expert depends more on consideration skill for making policy rather than oriented on specific knowledge. Economist’s view on marketing is on creating the time, the place where the product is needed or desired and then submits the product to satisfy the needs and the desires of consumers (marketing concept).
Classic marketing methods such as 4P above apply also in the internet marketing, even though in the internet marketing is done by many other methods which are very difficult to implement outside of the internet.
