The Strategy For Distribution Costs and Company’s Advertising
Providing good and adequate distribution channel is able to create good product distribution from the producers to the consumers, which later can improve product selling. The company is not solely meant to produce, but should also consider about the product distribution to the market or to the consumers. The same as promotion, especially about advertising that act as a tool to introduce and attract the consumers to the products that are produced by the company.
There are many types of advertising ranging from posters, brochures, billboards, and through electronic media like radio, television, newspapers, internet and others, which all of them are continue to grow in accordance with the changes and development of society and technology. As well as distribution channels, the advertising also plays an important role in marketing. As one application of the promotion, where the promotion is part of the marketing mix, advertising will bring a huge impact the company’s sales turnover.
If the company is able to implement and put an ideal target to its market product through an accurate and appropriate advertising, then the company will obtain a big advantage and benefit from the advertising. The distribution channels and advertising have a direct effect to the company, especially that related to sales volume (based on the term usage, because it used rupiah then it’s called the turnover) as the first benchmark of the successful marketing mix.
Product Marketing Strategy
In the marketing implementation at the company, theoretically there will be a marketing mix. This mix consists of 4Ps, namely Place, Product, Promotion, and Price, which later have significance role that related with the company’s profits. A successful marketing should be preceded by a successful marketing activity, which will certainly have direct impact on the company’s profits.
One part of the marketing mix that also means as one of the important aspects in the marketing management is about Place (a place for distribution channel). The distribution channel is a form of direct and indirect manifestation of the product marketing objectives, namely to accelerate the product distribution from the producers to the consumers. Those various distribution channels should be adjusted with the company’s condition and needs.
Several basis factors for the company to select the right distribution channel are: product type, cost or funds, goals, and so on. Choosing the wrong distribution channels can be fatal to the company. It has lots of impact to the company, but one thing that clearly visible is the reduction of product sales volume.
This thing will hamper the distribution and provision of the product and finally can reduce the amount of products that want to be sold by the company. This is usually also has a direct impact on the company’s profits.
Know about Marketing Mix
Marketing mix is the four components in the marketing which are consist of 4P:
• Product
• Price
• Place (a place, including distribution)
• Promotion (campaign)
Because marketing is not an exact science such as finance, marketing mix theory also continues to grow. On its process, also known a term of 7P where the next 3P are People, Physical Evidence, Process. Seth Godin, an author, for example, also offers a new P theory that is Purple Coy.
