Stock market (capital market) is a market for a variety of long-term financial instruments that can be bought and sold, either debt (bonds), equities (stocks), mutual funds, derivative instruments or other instruments. Stock market is a medium of funding for companies and other institutions (eg. government), and as a medium for investing activities.

Thus, stock market facilitating infrastructures of trading activities and other related activities. Financial instruments that traded in stock market are long-term instruments (valid more than 1 year) such as stocks, bonds, warrants, rights, mutual funds, and various derivative instruments such as options, futures, and others.
