Online business actually is very wide. So, this is not a specific field. At least there are some of online business field which is usually used for: Selling products / membership, sell advertising space (publisher), and Affiliate. Especially for affiliate, basically is selling product as well. But in this case I ignore it because I want to distinguish between product seller and marketer. The seller is the owner of the product itself, while marketer is a person who works with the seller to sell the products.
Now, back to online business, the point of the online business is the same as ordinary business. Which there are sellers and buyers that interact with each other. The difference is only in the means. In the offline business you need a place for selling, at least a cart, in the online business you need a website. The difference is, in offline business, location is the important thing. If you choose a wrong place, your business will be going down.
But in the online business, content is the important thing. The product that you sell is the main matter. No matter you build a website in the wilderness (if there is any connection), as long as your website is online, then everyone in the world can see it only a few seconds.
